Job summary

The role is responsible for the support of the Digital Midwife in her provision of implementing and achieving a maternity digital strategy and to aid delivery of the strategy objectives. Responsibilities include administration, liaison with stakeholders of all levels, collation and dissemination of various documentation, data quality improvement, data validation, supporting submission deadlines, supporting EPR training and implementation, assisting and ensuring policies and processes are consistently maintained across the department and supporting general programme admin requirements.

Main duties of the job

  1. The post holder will support the Digital midwife in her duties, including liaising with stakeholders to plan and organise necessary meetings, assisting with minute taking, organising and coordination of logistics and resources.
  2. A high level of computer literacy and can demonstrate an understanding of how digital technology, record keeping and data can support safer care.
  3. Effective creation and maintenance of Microsoft documents including reports, minutes, forms, tables, spreadsheets, SOP's etc. Support in managing and organising the SOP process and liaison with colleagues to ensure documents are within review periods and up to date.
  4. Data quality improvement of EPR, report monitoring. Supporting the resolution process by developing communications and escalating identified issues. To support the EPR programme to implement new ways of working and demonstrate a growth mind-set to enhance the change management process.
  5. Supporting data validation processes required to support national, regional and local Maternity data submissions. To develop a comprehensive understanding of data validation and the necessary submissions for maternity services. Including MSDS and CNST.
  6. Facilitate electronic record access for women. Supporting staff end users in their use of the EPR.
