Job summary

The delivery and support of digital technology at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is fundamental in enabling staff to provide excellent and safe patient care. The Trust has invested significantly in digital technology and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team supporting the development, testing, training and continued roll out of SystmOne and ICE, two of the Trust's key clinical electronic patient record systems. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for a number of the Trust's electronic patient record systems, SystmOne and ICE.

The SystmOne & ICE team are responsible for the training, administration, management and further development of 2 key clinical systems:

  • SystmOne: The patient clinical system which is used by a large number of community and acute services
  • ICE [Interoperability Communications Environment], which is widely used across the whole organisation and local healthcare community.

The post-holder will provide specialist support on systems set-up, configuration and, where this is a new system or upgrade, implementation and training in advance of transfer to live system. Working with the Project Management team and clinicians to ensure appropriate and robust testing of software, planning and identifying resources required to ensure delivery within required timescales.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, providing an excellent service to our end users, whilst leading a team of Patient Systems Support staff who provides training, knowledge, development and support to system users across the whole of the North Yorkshire, County Durham, Wakefield, Northumberland, the North East and Tees Valley localities. It is therefore crucial that the post holder has a flexible approach and is willing to travel.

Essential

  • Educated to diploma level or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience using patient systems
  • Significant experience of using SystmOne and/or ICE to support the provision of patient care.
  • Experience of patient systems implementation
  • Experience of Change Management
  • Experience of managing staff

Desirable

  • Training qualification or equivalent experience of training delivery/planning
  • Previous NHS experience
  • ITIL Qualification
  • Experience of service transformation
  • Experience of Trust systems i.e. PCS, ePMA, Patientrack, ICE, SystmOne, WebV, DMWM, ERS or other PAS/EPRs
