Job summary
The Podiatry team in York are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Podiatrist to a band 7 role specializing in Biomechanics/MSK Podiatry. While this role covers a wide range of MSK problems, previous experience or keen interest in the offloading of the diabetic foot would be an advantage as the post holder will be working alongside Diabetes and High risk colleagues for part of the week.
Main duties of the job
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, provides the Podiatry Service to the whole of North Yorkshire and York area, this covers approximately 3200 square miles and is provided from over 65 clinical locations.
The service is managed in 4 Locality based teams.
The York team consists of 24 Podiatrists supported by 3 Assistants/technicians and we provide service to 13 clinic locations in this area.
The role will be supported by Principal Podiatrist in Biomechanics and the Podiatry Professional Lead the other Podiatry team leads.
We will welcome applications from HCPC registered Podiatrists, who are looking for a step up from a band 6 post into a service with a good reputation for quality provision to our patients.
This post will be based at White Cross Court, York, a purpose built Podiatry facility, but the post holder may be expected to work at other locations, as such car driver or ability to travel is essential.
