**Are you an experienced Podiatrist with a passion for Biomechanics and developing services, ready for a new challenge??**
Due to upcoming retirement we are looking for a Principal Podiatrist tobe responsible for clinical leadership and service development of the Biomechanics and MSK teams within the HDFT Podiatry service. This includes the service provided to York Hospital Trust under a service level agreement.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be key to the co-ordination and delivery of highly specialised complex care, providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to the locality teams, working closely with senior colleagues to complement the existing management team.
He/She/They will monitor, evaluate and develop the Biomechanics and MSK speciality with the application of best available evidence, protocols, pathways, and clinical policies that reflect national and local priorities and legislation, liaising closely with the Head of Service.
He/She/They will take the lead in developing the clinical skills and practice of all clinicians within the service delivering care to patients with an at risk foot.
The post holder will be responsible for leading on the Health and Safety agenda for Podiatry Service.

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute/community trust providing a range of community services across the North East of England.
The Podiatry Service employs 65 Podiatrists and covers the majority of the 3000 square miles of North Yorkshire and York area and is provided from over 60 clinical locations.
The service is managed in 4 Locality based teams - Harrogate, Bedale, York and Scarborough.
Our "one service" model provides seamless care for patients in both acute and community settings. For this vacancy there will also be the opportunity to work clinically in your relevant specialty.
The Podiatry service is proactively increasing its research capacity with current involvement in a number of research projects with academic partners. In addition, we will support our staff to develop their own research interests, application for funding etc.

- oPost Graduate education to Masters or Masters accredited Level in appropriate field

- oPost graduate leadership course
- oTraining in the appropriate use of radiology and other investigations e.g. Ultra sound, x-ray

- oA minimum of 6 years of experience of managing and working with a complex clinical caseload
- oRecent experience in a Clinical/ Professional leadership role at Band 7 or above
