Job summary
Are you a passionate, innovative and inspirational individual who is looking for a unique opportunity to support the implementation of our innovative vision for multi-agency discharge and community hub. The Acute Response and Rehabilitation in the Community and Hospital (ARCH) have recently secured significant additional resource, which will allow the service to expand the cohort of patients who can be identified to leave hospital sooner with additional short-term support in their home environment reducing the need for inpatient rehabilitation, risk of deconditioning and interim placements
Are you a highly skilled, and experienced Allied health professional or registered nurse? Would you like to develop your knowledge and experience of operational management whilst maintaining your clinical skills and providing clinical leadership to a portfolio in ARCH. If so then this exciting new role is an excellent opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.
You will be working in the Community Hub and ARCH as part of the Harrogate and Rural Alliance. Working closely with our systems partners in friendly and supportive teams you will be encouraged to innovate and lead on service developments and improvements.
Main duties of the job
This role will be responsible for the day to day management of a portfolio within the ARCH service across Harrogate Hospital and the community areas. The post holder will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high standards of patient centred care cost effectively. Working closely with the Service Manager, Matron and AHP Professional Leads, the post holder will ensure the sustained delivery of key operational, performance and financial service targets.
The post holder will line manage staff group comprising of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Multidisciplinary Assistants working in that portfolio and employed by HDFT. They will need well developed interpersonal and communications skills to build strong working relationships across the system: primary and secondary care, and managers in partner provider organisation to enable collaborative working.
A strong focus on change management and team development will be required to support the team as they develop new ways of working within the development of the HARA community Hub and the ARCH service.
The post holder will demonstrate an effective and adaptive style of leadership to support capacity planning, effective roster development and delivery, performance management and transformation of the ARCH service.
