Job summary
We are looking for an experienced secretary to be part of the cancer management team at Harrogate District Hospital. The post will offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced secretary to work within a busy friendly team. The post holder will be a conscientious person who is hard working and able to support with the organisation of the team's workload.
Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive administrative support for an agreed range of services for the Cancer Management Team.
This will include organising meetings, diary appointments, audio typing and word processing various documents. The post holder will also be responsible for administering the recruitment process on behalf of managers and maintaining identified personnel records.
The post holder will have a professional approach which is responsive to the needs of internal and external partner agencies.
To act as a point of contact for enquiries to the cancer management team contributing to the delivery of an efficient and professional service.

- Preparing all correspondence and documentation, typing and formatting of documents in line with Trust policy, to include Board reports, minutes, letters, spreadsheets, information posters and power-point presentations and all general related typing
- Diary management and coordination to include the booking of appointments, arranging meetings, liaising with people at all levels both within the organisation and externally
- Maintenance of appropriate electronic and paper records and filing systems for all aspects of work
- Deal with telephone enquiries, taking action and responsibility where appropriate and passing information to the relevant manager in a prompt and concise manner
- Participate in, take and prepare minutes at regular meetings, co-ordinating follow-up actions and assisting in the preparation of agendas
