We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate person to join the Neurology AHP Therapy Service, at York Hospital.

We are consistently working towards improving our services for our patients, and are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and administrative skills to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to work well under pressure and demonstrate the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy service, and manage their time and workload effectively.

You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships with the administrative, managerial and clinical colleagues to work as an effective member of the team.Interviews for this role will be face to face at the York site only with not remote option available.

Main duties of the job

The post will provide a varied and interesting workload, including, but not limited to these key areas:

  • Being the first point of contact for patient queries related to the neurology therapy outpatient service.
  • Generate, organise, and monitor therapy clinics for the neurology therapy outpatient service.
  • Organise, cancel, and book patient appointments within the neurology therapy outpatient service.
  • Monitor referrals and add these to the electronic triage system.
  • Support with team meetings and transcription.

The post holder will be based at York Hospital.

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C or above - or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience.
  • Previous Secretarial/ Administrative experience (6 months minimum)
