Job summary

We are looking for people that are kind, compassionate, creative and problem-solvers with excellent communication skills, to join our expanding team across the Medicine care group at Scarborough Hospital. Within your role you will form a crucial part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, delivering a high standard of health care to patients.

We are seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate about person centred care. Good communication skills are also essential, as is a commitment to patient care and safety, and our Trust Values. We do provide training and an ongoing development programme to support you in your role, and advice/guidance is available from our experienced and supportive team.

As health care professionals we have the privilege of looking after those who can't always look after themselves, for some it's a short stay as they recover from the acute phase of their illness and for others it's providing care when they need it most and giving them dignity at the end of their lives.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you play a vital role in our patients care, and within the Medicine care group we cover a variety of specialities. These range from acute admission areas to wards such as cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology and elderly wards.

As a Healthcare Support Worker at Scarborough Hospital, you will be part of a multi-professional team providing high standards of care to our patients. You will maintain and promote patient independence and dignity to ensure each patient receives a positive experience. You will be expected to work a combination of shifts, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays:

Early - 07:30-15:30

Late - 12:30 - 20:30

Long Day - 07:30 - 20:30

Night - 20:00 - 08:00
