Are you looking for a new clinical leadership opportunity? We have a fabulous role for a dynamic AHP Team Manager seeking development opportunities within the Selby Locality.

The role supports a mixed portfolio inclusive of Integrated Intermediate Care, Community Therapy, Community Response, 2hr -Urgent Crisis Response, Hospital at Home/Virtual Frailty Ward, the proactive Frailty team and Intermediate Care - bed based services. Our integrated teams consist of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Support Workers, Coordinators and Administrative staff.

You will work closely with system partners supporting the development of neighbourhood working, building strong relationships with both acute and primary care, health and social care partners that meet the needs of the Selby population. Within your role, you will be supported by the Integrated Care, Community Services management team, professional leads, clinical leads and clinical educator within service.

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate leader with good communication skills and a passion for supporting the development of collaborative new models of care within the Selby Locality.

Main duties of the job

Ensure that the care group plans and AHP strategy is translated into a narrative that inspires staff and gives them clear objectives for the delivery of care.

Ensure that all professionals within their area of accountability function effectively and are sensitive to the cultural/ professional/individual requirements of staff and patients.

Lead the drive for service improvement by being able to identify areas for improvement, establish a case to managers for implementation and then lead staff to make the changes required.

Take responsibility for the allocation of resources (including staffing, equipment, and physical space) within the designated area.

The post holder will be accountable for the management of delegated budgets and resources with discipline and responsibility.

Ensure that staff are delivering safe and reliable care by being able to translate service data into meaningful performance information.

Provide professional support, advice, and clinical supervision to AHPs with support from the AHP Professional Leads and AHP Operational Manager.

Ensure the training and development needs of the team are met to ensure clinical excellence and evidence-based care and interventions.

To provide specialist clinical care and facilitate the development of staff from a variety of disciplines.

To ensure the provision of high-quality clinical practice placements across all professional groups.
