Senior Biomedical Scientist

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Scarborough, Hull and York Pathology Service (SHYPS) for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Clinical Biochemistry Team at Hull Royal Infirmary.

This role sits within the Specialist Section and offers the opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded and technically advanced service. Working collaboratively with the Chief Biomedical Scientist and the senior team, you will play a key role in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of the specialist biochemistry service.

The department provides a broad repertoire of specialist testing and is equipped with a range of analytical platforms, which includes two Mass Spectrometers, ICP-MS and HPLC.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and highly motivated individual who thrives in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Applicants must be HCPC registered, and have a MSc or IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma, and be able to demonstrate in-depth specialist knowledge in Clinical Biochemistry.
