Job summary
Come and join our amazing team on the women's unit.
You will be rotating through the different clinics on the women's unit including the gynaecologyassessment unit, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, minor operations clinic and lower genital tract clinics.
On the gynaecological assessment unit you will be expected to undertake observations of vital signs, perform urinalysis and pregnancy tests and act as a chaperone during gynaecological examinations on women attending the unit. You will also be handling swabs and specimens ensuring that they are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner. You will be undertaking phlebotomy skills following training. You will be providing compassionate care to women who, on occasions, will be facing apossible diagnosis of pregnancy loss.

Main duties of the job
On the other clinics you will be supporting women through the procedures they have attended for using excellent communication skills and observation skills.
You will also be involved in setting up for the clinics and cleaning away afterwards. You will order essential equipment for use in the clinics andensure that all stores are put away correctly.
You will be expected to work a variety of shifts to cover the many clinics on the women's unit including morning clinics 08:00 to 13:15, afternoon clinics, 13:00 to 17:30, All day clinics 08:00 to 17:30 and on occasions you will be required to stay until 19:30 when working on the gynaecology assessment unit.
