Job summary

The Practice Development and Education Team (PDET) is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Nursing Associate to join our team. PDET is responsible for delivering education, training, and pastoral support to Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professional staff across the Trust, operating under the Corporate Nursing Team. This marks the first time we are introducing a Nursing Associate Educator role within our structure, presenting a unique chance to shape and develop this position with the comprehensive support of the Professional Development and Education Team. The role will be challenging, involving work across our various workstreams, clinical ward areas, and multiple sites. It plays a crucial part in achieving our Corporate Nursing Priorities and strategic objectives. We are dedicated to fostering a confident and competent Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professional Workforce, which is essential to ensuring the quality and safety of care delivery. Main duties of the job

  • To support trust-wide educational programmes including HCSW academy and registered staff inductions, delivering training sessions in a variety of settings, utilizing different teaching methods.
  • Deliver training in a variety of key clinical skills.
  • Provide pastoral support where needed .
  • Support staff in clinical settings to develop competency and confidence in their roles.
  • Support wider PDET team workstreams for example the Practice Education Team supporting students and learners.
  • As part of the Chief Nurse Team drive the delivery of Trust-wide priorities.
