An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Nursing Associate to join the Endoscopy Team at Scarborough.
We are a small supportive team who strives to give the best care to all patients attending for procedures at Scarborough and Bridlington Endoscopy.
We are able to offer a thorough training package which involves internal and external training. You will have a supportive buddy to take you through the first 6-12 months, to assist with your development within the Endoscopy Unit.
Main duties of the job
The Nursing Associate role within Endoscopy will be varied, working in all area of the department.
From completing pre-assessment and admissions of patients, to assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
We recover patients and ensure a full discharge is completed post procedure. Working within the Trust Values, policies and guidelines.
The position also requires a small on-call commitment to enable acutely ill patients to be treated overnight, or on weekends when the unit is closed.

- A minimum of C grade GCSE or equivalent, in English and Maths
Knowledge & Experience

- Two years previous experience working and communicating with the public in a health/social care/educational setting or gained through recognised Nursing Associate training programme
- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team worked in and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development.
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional
- Understanding of how to apply evidence based practice to ensure high quality care for patients
