Biologics Coordinator

The position of Biologics Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinical team, who deal with biologic patients within the Gastroenterology Department.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work; possess personal attributes of empathy,compassion and respect; be able to demonstrate resilience and have an ability to work with personnel at all levels across the Trust.

There are two 20 hour posts available - one at York Hospital, one at Scarborough Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Establishing a close working relationship with the IBD Nurses, Consultants and colleagues.
  • Collating lists of patients required to be reviewed in MDT by the clinical teams.
  • Accurate and real time diary management.
  • Efficient organisation of meetings and other appointments including MDT.
  • Communications with patients and medical companies.

Full training will be provided.

  • NVQ3 or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate a good standard of education together with administration experience
  • Ability to use Microsoft office programmes, produce excel spreadsheets and databases

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience of providing high standards of service in a customer/patient orientated environment
  • Efficient organisation of meetings and other appointments including MDT
  • Previous experience of working within an Administrative team

Desirable

  • Previous experience working for the NHS or Healthcare environment
  • Experience using NHS systems - CPD
