Charity Operations Officer

Job summary

Working as an integral part of the Charity team, the post holder will help to drive charitable expenditure within the Trust. They will ensure that effective processes are designed and managed to guide the charity's expenditure ensuring donations are utilised in a timely and effective manner.

The Charity Operations Officer is an important link between the Charity, Charity Finance and Capital teams and will take the lead on behalf of the charity to engage with Trust staff and proactively generate charitably funded projects that meet the strategic priorities of the Trust, the needs of patients and the expectations of donors.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will monitor progress of the projects and liaise with the Communications Team to promote the projects via case study and media release and with the Fundraising team to ensure donors are kept updated. The Charity Operations Officer will have excellent project management skills to facilitate these projects through to completion.

The post holder will also assist the Head of Charity in stewarding relationships with key charitable partners including Friends Groups and NHS Charities Together. This role requires excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation skills.
