Job summary

We are looking for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Harrogate Satellite Renal Unit. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that is patient-focused and encourages shared care.

The Renal Unit is a busy outpatient area for patients with Kidney Failure. Patients come in for treatment at least three times a week for 4 hours treatment on a dialysis machine.

We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills, to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging fast paced environment.

Our service is open Monday to Saturday 06:30 to 00:00.

Please note:

Interviews for this role will be face to face with no remote option available.

Main duties of the job

Our successful candidate will demonstrate care and compassion whilst ensuring that patients' needs are met.You will assist and support members of the multi-professional team in order to provide a high standard of patient - centred care; performing duties without the need for constant direct supervision.

This includes preparation of the dialysis areas and in the disposal of dialysis consumables and waste. Plus stocking up the unit on a daily basis.

You will be working in a stimulating and supportive working environment with opportunities for further learning and development.
