Scarborough Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is seeking a caring and committed Neonatal Support Worker to join our dedicated team. Main duties of the job

To provide high-quality, family-centred care to babies and their families within the Special Care Baby Unit. The postholder will support registered neonatal nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, compassionate, and effective care, while promoting infant development and parent involvement.

  • Assist with the day-to-day care of babies, including feeding, comforting, and supporting their basic needs
  • Provide reassurance and guidance to parents, helping them feel confident and involved in their baby's care
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment within the unit
  • Work closely as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team

  • Willingness to undertake training

  • NVQ/ QCF Level 2 in a health-related subject
