Healthcare Support Worker

Job summary

This post will provide excellent grounding for any Healthcare Support Worker with a genuine interest in children's care and its treatments, and could lead to a rewarding future in York Paediatrics. The post has to offer:

  • You will be based on the Paediatric wards in York
  • To assist and support members of the multi-professional team in order to provide a high standard of patient - cantered care; performing duties without the need for constant direct supervision.
  • Being part of a forward thinking, dynamic, supportive and friendly team

Main duties of the job

  • Assist the nursing team
  • Undertake observations on patients
  • Support the families and children
  • Help with general cleanliness and upkeep of the ward
  • Support the medics with procedures

Support doctors in clinic and assist with weighing and measuring

Please be aware that you must be able to attend a full time induction programme for the first 4 weeks in your new role.

Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at York Hospital. Remote interviews will not be available.
