Clinical Nurse Specialist - Post COVID Syndrome

Long COVID is an invisible condition with patients feeling ignored and not believed by friends, family and employers. Could you help support our patients through their journey to recovery?

This is a unique opportunity to join a truly Multidisciplinary Team supporting patients with Post COVID Syndrome/ Long COVID. As a new condition, treatment strategies are continually evolving and our service model adapts accordingly, giving the post-holder the potential to develop advanced, holistic assessment skills.

We have a diverse and challenging group of patients with complex, multiple needs who require an personalized, empathetic approach and a Can Do attitude.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work with the Clinical Co-Ordinator to Triage, provide Initial Assessment and Review patients through their Post COVID journey. Working with our dedicated Occupational Therapists, Specialist Physiotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, Talking Therapies and Consultant, they will devise a plan of care for the patient within the MDT, advising the patient on self-management strategies to enhance their recovery.

They will support the Group Education/Self-management sessions, run by the team, as required, and will be expected to take an active part in the MDT process. An openness to the use of digital technology in patient care is essential.
