Nursing Associate - Paediatrics

Job summary

Rainbow Ward in Scarborough Hospital; a 14 bedded Acute Paediatric In-Patient ward, admitting infants, children and young people up to eighteen years of age requiring medical, Surgical and mental health provision.

  • To provide and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development implementation and evaulation of programmes of care.
  • To promote patient and family centred care
  • Communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care and promote effective team working
  • To participate in the teaching, supervision and precetorship/mentorship of learners and other staff
  • The post holder will work in partnership with the Ward / Department Sister to ensure that the standards of nursing care are met at all times. This includes assisting the ward / department Sister and the whole team to meet the agreed standards of hospital cleanliness within the work environment.

Main duties of the job

Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at Scarborough Hospital. Remote interviews will not be available.

  • A minimum of C grade GCSE or equivalent, in English and Maths

Experience and Knowledge Required
