Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the Mandatory Training Team based in York. You will assist with all aspects of the organisation, delivery and evaluation of mandatory training. You will also assist with the delivery of Corporate Induction and New Starter Fairs.

The postholder will:

  • Provide an efficient customer service for all Trust employees accessing Statutory and Mandatory training and The Learning Hub, resolving simple issues over the telephone or via email, escalating any technical issues to the Senior Learning Administrator and/or the Learning Hub Administration Team.
  • Control and maintain shared mailbox account.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date training records for all Trust staff, ensuring that the Learning Hub can always provide current audit data.

Main duties of the job

  • Work with the Senior Learning Administrator in planning and organising the Statutory and Mandatory programme including arranging dates & venues, liaising and point of contact for facilitators, sending reminders and supporting the evaluation of the programme.
  • Support and review evaluation of all Statutory and Mandatory training, both face to face and e-learning.
  • Maintain the currency of the Corporate Induction Information Pack, Statutory and Mandatory Training Handbook and New Starter Induction Resources Handbook, liaising with subject leads and updating accordingly.
  • Arrange and administer non-mandatory training events, where required, including liaising with Subject Leads, booking rooms, producing, and disseminating adverts, providing signing in sheets and updating registers post event.
  • Provide an efficient administrative and clerical service including photocopying resources, creating and updating of signing in sheets post event, electronic diary organisation, collection of post and producing documents as required.
  • Review current levels of required stock for the Mandatory Training Team, feeding back requirements to the Senior Learning Administrator.
  • Will carry out any other tasks as requested by the Senior Learning Administrator or Mandatory Training Lead.

  • Educated to GCSE Level English and Maths Grade C or equivalent
  • Typing skills/qualifications such as RSA 3/NVQ 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience

Desirable

  • ECDL

Experience and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in an NHS environment
