Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

• oExperience of working with autistic people.
• oAwareness and understanding of current issues in autism and healthcare.
• oUnderstanding of local and national autism agendas.
• oUnderstanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, and guidance relating to autism.
• oUnderstanding of research-based practice.
• oAbility to organise and prioritise own workload.
• oExcellent presentational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• oExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Desirable

• oExperience within a relevant speciality.
• oGood networking knowledge of local resources for autistic people.
• oExperience/ knowledge of neurodivergences
• oDemonstrable experience of delivery and evaluation of training.
• oExperience of working in an acute clinical environment.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

• oActive professional Registration.
• oDegree in Nursing, Midwifery or an allied care profession, or equivalent experience.

Desirable

• oTeaching Qualification.
• oRelevant post registration qualifications/ learning
