Job summary
We are looking for caring, passionate, flexible and organised Healthcare Support Workers for an exciting opportunity to come and join our friendly Women's units teams in York & Scarborough in delivering care to our wider community.
The post holder will work with the team to ensure the smooth running of the units and provide support and nursing care to women and their families. In addition, they will help to support and assist health professionals with procedures & investigations. Excellent communication skills are essential.

This post is for up to 30 hours per week. Ourclinics operate 7 days a week between 08:00-am-19.30pm.
Your base site will be Scarborough Hospital but cross site working will be an expectation of the role.
Please note:
- You must be able to commit to our 4 week, full time HCSW Academy for your first 4 weeks of employment with our Trust
- We are unable to provide Sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
Our successful candidate will be an integral member of the team facilitating the smooth running of the service, including ensuring the environment is clean, safe and well stocked.
Our service is growing and developing therefore you will need to be adaptable and flexible. You will support staff, patients and their families; sometimes receiving bad news and therefore having the ability to show empathy and deal in a sensitive and tactful way when communicating with patients and their families will be fundamental to the role
With the support and guidance of the surrounding team you will assist the team with procedures.
Women requiring the service, can often be vulnerable so it is important that the post holder is able to be alert to any safeguarding issues and escalate as required.
