Job summary
We are looking to recruit a capable, helpful, self-motivated and enthusiastic administrator who will be a key team member in providing support to all teams within the Digital and Information Service.
The focus of the role is to provide the procurement support. The team deals with a large volume of IT equipment and telephone orders. The team is responsible for the process from quotation to delivery, including dealing with invoices, stock management, moving stock items to the other areas of the Trust.
The post holder will also assist with general office administration duties- data recording, scheduling meetings, room bookings, stationary orders and other office-based task.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be working in a very fast phased environment and will work with multiple programmes and purchasing platforms at the same time. Multitasking, numeracy, attention to detail, prioritisation and organisational skills are essential as well as computer literacy. You will need to be flexible in order to deal with changing priorities and have a "can do" attitude.
We are a small team and there might be a time when the post holder will be the only administrator in the office. We are looking for a candidate who will have excellent communications skills, face to face and over the telephone. You will be enthusiastic to learn new tasks. We would expect that you demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to work with limited supervision, but to have confidence to seek advice when appropriate.
The role is office based, 37.5h /week, Monday- Friday, 08:30-17:00.
Temporary 12 month contract.
The post if full time but we would consider slightly less hours for the right candidate, minimum 30h/week to meet our service needs.
