Job summary

Working directly with the Chief Nurse team as the team's expert, in a variety of Trust-wide data sources and intelligence, the postholder will be producing and analysing intelligence using the Trust's systems to support a comprehensive understanding and to inform decision-making around the Nursing quality agenda.

This unique post will also provide a level of secretarial services while working collaboratively with the teams across the corporate nursing portfolio. An advanced level use of IT packages is essential and the ability to present, analyse and triangulate data in a way that is accessible to all audiences across the organisation including non-data experts.

Main duties of the job

  • Produces intelligence and reports for a range of audiences, including the Trust's Board and its sub-committees.
  • Presents complex workforce intelligence and associated analyses in a way that is accessible to all audiences, including non-data experts
  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to define workforce intelligence requirements to support the management of the workforce, decision making and future planning.
  • Providing, receiving, and handling complex and sensitive information and communicating this appropriately with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Essential

  • Degree in relevant Subject or equivalent qualification or experince
  • Further training o post graduate diploma or demonstrate relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the theories of information, information analysis and presentation.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and its applications, particularly Excel for creating reports and adjusting formulae.

Skills and Attributes

Essential

  • Ability to analysie complex information and translate this for a range of audiences into an accessible format
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver work of a high quality to a tight timescales and to manage conflicting priorities.

Desirable

  • Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff from external organisations and the community to enable effective partnership working.
