A great opportunity has arisen for a good and caring communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, to join our friendly dynamic Sexual Health reception team based at Harewood Medical Practice, part of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our service users, and should be able to demonstrate an effective level of communication. Acting with empathy in what can be an emotional or difficult situation. You will need to be self motivated and a good team player.
The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day could be required for this vacancy. Working hours to include one late night, requirement to be flexible around needs of service.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Greeting patients when they attend the service
- Managing the registration of patients on reception
- Providing administration support to the multidisciplinary team
Experience of working in a healthcare setting and some reception knowledge would be desirable, though not essential. Full training will be given on our stand alone IT system, and for managing the busy call queues that come via our county wide booking line.
