Job summary

We are seeking applications from Nursing Associates to join the York Sleep and Ventilation Service. This role is key in supporting the specialist Nurses, Physiologists, and medical teams to deliver a quality service to our Patients.

We are looking for someone to join our small, hardworking team to deliver key treatment and ongoing care to our patients. The hours of work available are up to 26 hours per week.

The sleep service operates from the York Community Stadium within an outpatient department setting.

Main duties of the job

Most of our patients are diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, the successful applicants will be involved in educating and assisting our patients in living with this condition.

The successful candidate should have an interest in developing their knowledge of sleep medicine and be an efficient and effective communicator with staff, patients and visitors. You will play a key role in setting patients up with CPAP devices and following them up to ensure they are comfortable and compliant with their treatment. You would predominantly be working in an outpatient setting and also undertaking face to face patient reviews including remote monitoring and telephone reviews.

Some experience of working with patients with respiratory or sleep issues are desirable, however full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Experience and Knowledge
