Job summary
We have a vacancy for a Radiographer who is looking for a varied Radiography career in an area renowned for its beaches, local countryside and national Parks, and only a short distance by train or car from the beautiful city of York and other larger cities.
Newly qualified students are encouraged to apply as are more experienced staff (banding for more experienced staff would be subject to experience and transferrable skills)
This post is a General Radiographer rotation through Emergency Department, General Radiology Department, Mobiles and Theatre. Candidates with experience in either CT or MRI will be considered for rotation through these specialties.

Main duties of the job
We have Radiographers undertaking advanced practice roles including reporting (plain film, MRI and ultrasound) . Opportunities exist for Radiographers to undertake funded post-graduate study in all modalities. Recent qualifications obtained by staff include post graduate certificates in MRI, CT and Image Reporting, Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Imaging, Post Graduate Diploma in Ultrasound and PhD in MRI.
Students from Leeds University attend the department for work placement. Radiographers are encouraged to become mentors and assessors and training is provided.
Initial duties will include plain film, Theatre/Fluoroscopy, Trauma and Orthopaedics and mobiles with a salary scale dependent on relevant transferrable knowledge and skills. Radiographers with existing skills in CT or MRI could join a rotation through these areas.
A 24/7 shift system is in place for General Radiography.
