Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a very interesting post working as part of the Respiratory Secretarial team within the Respiratory Directorate. The post is for an Audio Typist with additional clerical duties supporting the team.Duties will mainly include the audio typing of outpatient/adminletters and dealing with subsequent instruction as indicated by the dictation such as makingoutpatient appointments. Additional duties will involve answering patient telephone calls, administering referrals and appointments on the Trust's database and supporting the clinical and non-clinical team as required.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative, but also as part of a team. The successful candidate must bea proficient audio typist with the ability to transcribe complex audio digital dictation and possess GCSE English Language, Grade C or above, or equivalent. They must also possess demonstrable keyboard skills and an ability to type to a high standard as well as previous clerical/administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer based setting.
