Job summary
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join the Trust, as a key member of the Financial Systems & Training team.
The role includes the responsibility for support and Systems Administration of Oracle Cloud Financials, ESR payroll and related Finance systems, so the post holder will need some knowledge or experience of using these or similar systems.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications is also required with advanced Excel being a must together with a working knowledge of macros and relational databases
The post holder will need an enquiring mind and the ability to work out solutions to problems.
The post holder will be at least AAT NVQ4 qualified or equivalent and be prepared to study towards a professional CCAB accountancy qualification.
This post is based at Tribune House, Clifton Moor York, but will involve occasional visits to other Trust sites, typically York Hospital. There may be the opportunity for home working following a successful probation period depending on the Trust rules at that time.

Main Functions of the Team
- Manage and Support the running of the Finance and associated systems.
- Further develop existing systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the department and directorate.
- Support the development of new projects & processes within the department and directorate.

- Working with our Finance system providers to develop functionality, processes, and reporting for the benefit of the organisation.
- Investigate & where appropriate implement new products & technologies that will be of benefit to the directorate and the organisation as a whole.
- Look to automate tasks where possible using both available existing tools, and if economically beneficial new products.
- Aspire to become centre of excellence for innovations within the directorate which will be for the benefit of the organisation.
