Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our specialist Stroke rehabilitation unit at Whitecross Court in York for an experienced nurse to develop their leadership and management skills.
Whitecross Court is a 20 bedded unit for patients requiring rehabilitation after a Stroke.
The successful candidate must have knowledge or a willingness to learn about Stroke patients and care of patients after Stroke to ensure they can support the team clinically. They will need to display leadership skills and be motivated by quality improvement ensuring team development to ensure patient safety, excellent care and experience.
You must be highly motivated, able to manage stress and help others to manage stress.
We will provide you with development opportunities to enhance skills.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Matron and their ward team in providing effective nursing leadership, supporting a team of nurses ensuring the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct is at the forefront of the teams care.
The position supports a clinical role in addition to the management of operational issues incorporating the provision of care to patients, their families and carers in accordance with Trust values.
You must demonstrate continuing professional development, reflecting individual needs, the needs of the team and the organisation
