Redevelopment Administrative Assistant

Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is undergoing a large redevelopment programme. This will see the creation of new hospital buildings and refurbishment of existing buildings both on the acute hospital site and offsite within the community; to support patient focussed clinical service provision. The post holder will be exposed to strategic development, procurement, construction, management and governance, stakeholder engagement and communication.

The key objective off the role is to provide a high quality administrative and support service to the Redevelopment Team. This involves assisting with general office duties, undertaking project related tasks, and acting as a personal assistant to the Programme Director.

Good communication, teamwork and a flexible approach to working within a dynamic environment are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be IT literate and be able to support a number of colleagues with varied tasks to deliver the Redevelopment Programme.

Main duties of the job

To develop good relationships with all stakeholders, including Contractors, Suppliers and Sub Consultants to the Trust, supporting the Hospital's Redevelopment Programme.

Carry out general office duties and provide secretarial/administrative support including diary management to the Redevelopment Programme Director and Senior Team.

Support managing the Redevelopment Inbox and responding to queries as required.

Raise requisitions including ordering and purchasing of supplies /equipment and professional services using the e-Procurement system and updating the PO tracker to keep an accurate record.

Project Equipping; supportwith deliveries and placement of equipment.
