Job summary
The post holder will:
o Apply strong analytical and technical skills to interpret healthcare data, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to support operational decision-making across the Trust.
o Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring outputs are accurate, validated and meet shareholders requirements.
o Support the automation of reporting processes to reduce manual workload, improve data quality and enhance efficiency.
o Undertake data interrogation and data linking activities, analysing large datasets from multiple clinical systems and the data warehouse to produce reliable reports.
o Act as a motivated professional, combining great communication and analytical skills to support service improvement initiatives.
This role requires experience in the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, with the ability to analyse and present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The post holder should have good knowledge of T-SQL, including querying, joining and aggregating complex datasets. They should have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines as well as the ability to work independently within agreed objectives, seeking guidance where required.
The focus and duties of this role will grow and evolve to reflect the changing needs of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Support the development, maintenance and documentation of data extracts from Trust Clinical Systems and Data Warehouse.
Manage and prioritise a number of concurrent projects of varying scale and complexity, working independently within agreed objectives and escalating issues where appropriate.
Analyse and present complex or sensitive information in a clear and accessible format suitable for shareholders without an informatics background.
Build effective working relationships with shareholders to understand reporting requirements and support the delivery of appropriate analytical solutions.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of analytical methods and reporting processes, promoting consistency and good practice within the team.
Provide analytical advice to colleagues within our team, department and wide-Trust.
Identify data quality issues and work collaboratively with relevant teams to support resolution and improvement.
Contribute to team objectives, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with Information Governance, Data Protection legislation and Trust policies in all analytical outputs and data handling activities.
