Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment? Our busy NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a proactive and motivated Supply Chain Officer to ensure the smooth flow of goods across the organisation.
In this role, you will take responsibility for receipting and preparing all deliveries to the Hospital Warehouse, checking that items are in excellent condition and ensuring they are dispatched promptly for onward distribution within the Trust. Your attention to detail and commitment to timely delivery will help keep our operations running seamlessly and support patient care every day.
We are looking for someone who is self-driven and adaptable, comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. The role involves moving goods using equipment such as roll cages, so a good level of physical fitness is essential. You will also use Trust computer systems and software as part of your daily tasks; while full training will be provided, previous experience and confidence with IT systems would be an advantage.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and your contribution will make a real difference across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the receipting in of goods delivered into the Trust using relevant computer software
To ensure goods are correctly processed for onward delivery to wards and departments
To assist in managing the distribution team and ensuring all goods are signed for on delivery to end users
To assist in the delivery goods ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
To provide cover as required across the receipts and distribution team, materials management team and procurement team.
To assist in receiving and picking PPE orders from stakeholders within the Trust
To ensure stock levels of all items held in Stores are to agreed levels and to report or resolve any discrepancies
To provide cover as required across the receipts and distribution team, materials management team and procurement team.
To assist in the delivery of an effective and professional procurement service to meet departmental objectives in compliance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and Standing Orders
