Ward 11 have an exciting opportunity for nurses to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team. Ward 11 is a 33 bedded Medical short stay Unit. It is a fast paced Unit which cares for patients with varied medical conditions in their acute phase.
You need to possess the ability to work in a team and as an individual to deliver high quality patient care. Fast forward thinking and prioritization skills are essential due to fast paced nature of the Ward.
The Ward 11 will help you to develop your clinical nursing skills and support your commitment. You will be given a bespoke training and development plan, one to one meetings with your Manager and the support and help of the other friendly staff in Acute Medicine.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. To work closely with the department / ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department / ward environment.
To carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision and when proficient demonstrate procedures of care; supervise junior qualified and / or unqualified staff including student nurses whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
