Cardiac Specialist Nurse

Job summary

A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cardiology Nurse with substantial experience in managing acute cardiac patients to join the Cardiology CNS team.

The post holder will provide specialist nursing input into the development, delivery and evaluation of cardiac services within both the inpatient and outpatient setting in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team.

This will include the Rapid Access Chest Pain (RACP) Service for people with chest pain of suspected cardiac origin and the inpatient and outpatient management of patients with a primary presenting cardiac condition including participation in hot clinics and other hospital avoidance schemes.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within locally agreed guidelines in partnership with other health care professionals across primary and secondary care. In addition the post holder will assist in the development and delivery of education and training for other healthcare professionals caring for patients with ischaemic heart disease.
