Job summary

Are you a data-driven thinker with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes? This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become a key player in our Pharmacy team as a Data Analyst, embedded within the Pharmacy Medicines Use & Quality division. You'll collaborate across the Trust with Procurement, Finance, and Information teams, and connect with regional and national NHS networks to drive meaningful change.

In this role, you'll harness your love for data and statistics to deliver high-impact analytics using cutting-edge Business Intelligence platforms. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll produce timely, insightful reports that go beyond performance metrics--helping shape strategic decisions that enhance patient care. You'll dive deep into complex scenarios, ask the right questions, and offer actionable recommendations to refine and elevate current practices.

You'll lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, from intelligence dashboards to innovative app development, all aligned with the Trust's data-driven strategy. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be essential as you bring expert knowledge, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence into everything you do.

Main duties of the job

1. To be responsible for the development and production of medicines related reporting and data analytics along with pharmacy business intelligence metrics from our digital systems.

2. To ensure that timely, relevant and accessible information is available to relevant departmental, divisional and Trust stakeholders in relation to medicines and related pharmacy business activities.

3. To support the timely submission of month end medicine related financial data extracts to the relevant teams in finance to support the Trust in satisfying mandatory and contractual reporting obligations.

4. To ensure that data integrity is maintained and that submission of data is carried out accurately and timely.

5. To develop key relationships with colleagues within the trust reporting team, finance and commissioning teams along with relevant stakeholders (e.g. CDF, NHSE)

6. Track and analyse biosimilar switching trends to support decision-making in conjunction with the senior managers
