Senior Rotational Radiographer - Vascular Imaging

Job summary
We are looking for a Band 6 radiographer to join our expanding team at this exciting time. Due to a relocation of services we are opening 2 brand new hybrid theatres within our new hospital wing - both with brand new imaging equipment. As the hub of the vascular services for Bedfordshire and Luton these hybrid theatres will undertake the vascular intervention cases along with facilitating interventional radiology procedures.
The hybrid theatres will support both vascular and interventional radiology procedures, offering a stimulating and progressive clinical environment. We are looking for a radiographer who is eager to contribute during this period of growth and innovation, and who brings experience in an additional imaging modality to support the rotational nature of the role.

Main duties of the job
To competently undertake radiographic techniques, planning and prioritising own workload and acting in an advisory role when supervising other staff. To have an understanding of vascular imaging or cardiac imaging. To be able to maintain a high quality of work and complete consideration for the patient. To be a good example to and train radiographers, student radiographers and other health care workers and help them to develop into skilled considerate workers. To be responsible for a designated aspect of the Imaging Department. This is a rotational role within Imaging to include vascular and another speciality. The Trust has implemented a shift system and is moving towards fully 7 day working. Willingness to work within a flexible work pattern will be required.
