Job summary
The Endoscopy Department Booking Office is looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join their friendly team, working alongside other admin team members in a fast-paced and busy clinical unit.
Main duties of the job
Greet and receive patients and visitors upon arrival to the Endoscopy unit, ensuring they are welcomed professionally and promptly notifying the appropriate nursing staff of their presence.
Handle telephone calls efficiently, responding to enquiries from both clinical staff and the public regarding patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Ensure all information is accurately documented and communicated to the relevant individuals.
Manage and organise patient documentation, including the collation, preparation, and electronic scanning of all paperwork into the hospital's patient records system.
Prepare all necessary admission documentation in advance to support smooth patient intake processes.
Perform administrative tasks related to patient admissions and discharges using the patient information system.
