Job summary
We are looking to expand the radiographic reporting team in our Trust with the addition of one reporting radiographer with postgraduate qualification in image interpretation.
This will be a full time reporting and rotational post at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
Ideally, the successful candidate should have extensive experience of reporting plain film images in a hospital environment.
As a band 7 radiographer, you will be able to lead a team in the ED and general radiology departments.
This role involves the training and supervision of junior radiographers and students as well as taking a lead role in audits and service improvement initiatives that are relevant to the Imaging Department.
The department has implemented a shift working system. Flexible working and participation in the 7-day service will be expected.
Hybrid working with the use of a home reporting station will be available on completion of a probationary period and successful completion of reporting audit as per RCR guidance.

Main duties of the job
To take an active part in the provision of the reporting radiographer service whilst maintaining the highest standards.
To have responsibility for Image Interpretation of planar x-ray images.
To produce high quality Image reports.
To produce high quality diagnostic images whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
To participate in the 7-day working rota for clinical and reporting duties.
