Job summary

The Trust is looking for clerical staff to join our bank to provide support in various departments around the hospital. Our 'bank' operates like an internal agency, booking temporary staff on a flexible basis.

The shifts that the Bank staff are asked to cover are usually Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Please note - we are not able to offer bank shifts for evening and weekend working.

Main duties of the job

Bank admin and clerical staff work in a variety of different roles covering short or medium term gaps and assisting during times of high service demand.

To join our Bank admin and clerical team, you will need to have accurate keyboard skills and be able to communicate effectively with both staff and patients in person, on the phone and by email. Attention to detail is also important for all of the tasks that you may be asked to carry out.

The post holder will be required to undertake a range of administrative duties including reception cover, filing, typing, sending out letters and making appointments. You will also need to deal with incoming and outgoing telephone calls and emails. The post will require you to input and retrieve information using our in-house systems but full training will be given.
