Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic paediatric middle grade doctor who is ready to join an exciting team to develop their career and gain necessary experience. You should be comfortable performing all standard middle grade responsibilities (international recruits would be supported in the first few months to gain the necessary competencies). You would be working in a 1:12 rota covering a busy paediatric ward and children's assessment unit, level SCBU and managing referrals from Emergency department and GP.
This post is for 12-24 months offering 6-12 months rotations between the:
? Paediatric and Neonatal Unit at the Bedford Hospital
? Paediatric Unit at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital
Main duties of the job
Ensuring safe care of the patients
Participating in paediatric and neonatal ward rounds, paediatric and neonatal procedures, attending paediatric crash calls and neonatal resuscitations, admitting/ assessing/ discharging patients and making a plan of care, safe guarding procedures, outpatient clinics, supporting junior doctors (Tier 1), participating in education programme, and above all being an effective team player.
