Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Teaching Fellow in Otolaryngology Surgery at Bedford Hospital. The post is with a view to becoming a substantive post in the future.
The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical services in Otolaryngology surgery. They must have general hospital experience.
Applicants ideally must hold MRCS or an equivalent qualification, and possess a minimum of 2 years basic or higher surgical trainee (or equivalent) experience, 12months of which must have been in ENT at time of interview. Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Main duties of the job
This is a varied and interesting role in which the post holder will take part mainly in outpatients clinics including acute clinics but assist in theatre. They will be expected to assist in the day to day care of patients on the wards.
There is an on call commitment to this post which will enable the successful candidate to further increase their management skills. They will be involved in the training of FY2/GPST's within the specialty and supervision of these junior ENT team members.
