If you are, we want you to join our team!We are looking for a registered nurse to join our Frailty Unit. We are an 18 bedded short stay unit for FRAIL patients. We aim to get them home and support their convalescence in their home environment.This is an ideal development opportunity for a Band 5 or Band 6 Registered Nurse who is seeking to improve their leadership and managerial skills. You be able to supervise nurses and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care. You are also expected to deputise in the absence of the ward manager.The ward will support you with a bespoke development plan and exposure to a variety of learning opportunities plus access to university courses. Main duties of the job
JOB SUMMARY:
To support and work with the Ward Manager and Matron to provide effective unit management. To take regular charge of the clinical area in the absence of the ward manager.
To take responsibility for the assessments of the care needs; the development, implementation and evaluation of care to ensure the highest possible standards of care are received by patients.
To supervise and teach other nursing and non-nursing staff, acting as an excellent clinical role model and team leader to ensure quality care is delivered to the patients.
