An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bedfordshire Hospitals for an Elective Service Lead in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with attention to detail. Good communication and organisation skills are essential.
The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties to support the Senior Service Manager for Trauma & Orthopaedics and Vascular Surgery
Main duties of the job
- Work with the Senior Service Manager to manage services day-to-day
- Use tools to assist with monitoring and assessment of the capacity and demand for services and patient pathways, taking steps to optimise patient flow
- Manage the pathways for transferring of patients between sites as well as to other Trusts or Independent Sector Providers
- Develop effective working relationships with clinical staff, managers and other staff groups in order to ensure that the services are responsive to the needs of patients and external needs/pressures

- GCSE in English and Maths (grade 4/C and above) or equivalent
- oNVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) or demonstrates an equivalent level of experience
- IT skills equivalent to RSA2
Experience

- oSubstantial NHS experience ; oExtensive previous administration experience
- oGood time management ; oAbility to prioritise own workload
- oExperience of data collection and analysis ; oGood computer skills including use of all Microsoft Office Packages
