Job summary
Luton Sexual Health is a fully integrated sexual health and HIV service based in the community in Luton town centre. We are seeking a nurse with experience working in sexual health/HIV services with a passion for serving the LGBT+ community, to take a lead role in developing services for LGBT+ clients.
This may include nurse-led sexual health clinics offering STI screening and treatment, HPV and hepatitis vaccination, contraception and cervical screening for those who may require it (e.g. transmen), PEP/PrEP and other risk reduction interventions.
The appointee will be working in a well-established sexual health service, among a team of experienced Nurses, Health Advisors and Outreach Workers, with supervision and input from Consultants and Specialty Doctors.
Main duties of the job
Provide confidential, holistic sexual and contraceptive health care and education to clients attending the service in a welcoming, sensitive and non-judgemental manner.

? Support development of Nurse clinical competency programme
? Supervising, teaching and training of nursing and non-nursing staff
? Ensure junior nurses provide individual, holistic care and education to clients
Work effectively as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team and support the Band 7 ANPs, Band 8a Nurse Managers and Clinical Operations Lead in achieving the service, Directorate and Trust's aims and objectives.
Demonstrate a flexible approach to days/hours worked and actively participate in changes to planned rota to ensure that service has appropriate nursing cover for all clinics/sites.
