Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Dietitian to join our friendly and forward thinking team of Dietitians. You will work as part of the dietetic department at the Luton and Dunstable hospital and be an integral member of this team. There is scope to develop this post whilst always working towards striving to achieve the highest standards of care. You will also work alongside a team of clinical Dietitians working across adults , being an active member of the Department. The post would be based at the Luton and Dunstable hospital. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced band 5 to progress and develop, or equally for a band 6 looking for a fresh challenge.

You will have a good general dietetic back ground and experience in nutritional support is essential. Skills in MDT working, patient education on a one to one basis.

We offer regular supervision and a robust appraisal system, in addition we support and encourage CPD opportunities such as shadowing other specialities within the Department and attending relevant study sessions. We also provide training for students from the University of Hertfordshire.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing a Dietetic service to a specialist caseload of patients on the surgical wards. This will include gastro surgical, general surgical, bariatric and ITU stepdown patient groups.
