Job summary
Trainee Sonographer - We are proud of our highly trained ultrasound team and the opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to train as a Sonographer in this ever expanding and exciting field of Radiology. With funded postgraduate academic training at University of Hertfordshire you will complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
The Ultrasound Department has 12 scan rooms across two departments and provides a comprehensive Sonographer led ultrasound service. Obstetrics and Gynaecology is based in a dedicated Women's Health Unit and General Medical Ultrasound in the Main Imaging Department).
Professional (HCPC/GMC/NMC) registration is essential. Main duties of the job
- Undertake clinical and theoretical training in Ultrasound attending block release to University of Hertfordshire.
- Completing rostered training to meet the university requirements.
- Participate in the day to day organisation of the service.
- Working professionally as part of the Ultrasound team interacting with other teams and departments.
- Achieve a post graduate diploma qualification within 12 months in line University timetable.
