If you do, an ideal opportunity is waiting for you, as the Technical Analytics team are looking to appoint a skilled, motivated and confident Development Analyst to support the Trust with report automation and creation.

We are looking for a delivery driven individual who can develop effective working relationships across two hospital sites and contribute to the wider Performance and Information function.

This dynamic role will be suitable for a candidate who has experience within an analytical environment and the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders.

The Technical Analytics team is a small team with strong values. We work independently a lot of the time but are there to support the team when needed. We are largely project based and this allows us to be flexible and we are big on self development, allowing for skills to be nurtured.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to Technical Analytics Manager, working with the Service Line Analysts, Data Quality Analysts; this post holder will be required to design, implement and maintain automated reporting for the Trust.

A significant part of this role will be responding to project based information requests which could originate from a variety of sources such as Commissioners, Corporate Departments and other Information Team staff.

  • The post holder needs to demonstrate an expertise in identifying and implementing ways of streamlining and automating processes carried out within the Information Team.
  • This post carries significant financial responsibility in ensuring that accurate information essential for performance management and commissioning is available.
  • The post holder needs to be a motivated individual able to combine excellent communication, analytical and management skills.

  • Developed specialist knowledge of data collection and analysis within an Acute Hospital Trust to design and develop reports.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office package - particularly Word, Access and Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS Data Dictionary and Trust clinical systems with the ability in interpreting national guidance
  • Risk management and governance
