Job summary
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced consultant to work a 7PA job plan in medical oncology (breast). The successful candidate will join the multidisciplinary team consultants across Medical Oncology, clinical fellows, a specialist registrar, nurse clinicians, a pharmacist, clinical nurse specialists, research nurses, project managers and clinical trial administrators
Main duties of the job
The duties and responsibilities of the role, which may be adjusted in the light of changing/developing priorities, include:o Attendance and review of patients in the weekly breast Medical Oncology clinics. This will include new and follow up patients, on treatment. o Attendance and review of patients at weekly research clinico Participation in Breast MDTo Completion of patient administration taskso Completion of and maintenance of Good Clinical Practice Certification (regulatory requirement for clinical trial participation, if appropriate).o Become familiar with ongoing clinical trials, as appropriate (for context when seeing outpatients in clinic).
